.
Regular readers of this blog will have noticed that after years of consistently posting three times a week -- twice when things got particularly frantic -- my posts here have become frantically irregular.
Mea culpa. I've been chin deep in dreams, working on The Iron Dragon's Mother and have reached the point where it dominates my thoughts.
I've promised my agent the book will be finished this spring and I'm sure as I can be about anything that it will be. "The Good Lord willing and the creek don't rise," as they say.
You'll have a chance to read the novel roughly a year from now. In the meantime, up above are two very recent pages from the notebook dedicated to TIDM. The recto contains a quick recap of all action from the last page that is set in stone to the end of the novel. And the verso is a picture of Dahut merc'h Gradlon, who will play a significant part in upcoming chapters.
And now I shall return to my dreams. Currently, my protagonist is invisible and leading a blind woman through the farmers market in a small village in the Debatable Hills of Avalon.

Is "debatable hills" a reference to "Lud in the Mist" or do I misremember?
ReplyDeleteIt is, although the term itself is much older, I believe.
